La Universidad Nacional de Tierra del Fuego, Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur será sede del encuentro: “CIBIECO (Bioeconomía Circular) en Tierra del Fuego” en el marco del proyecto internacional que lleva a cabo junto a la Universidad Nacional de Río Cuarto, la Universidad de Laponia en Rovaniemi y la Universidad Centria de Ciencias Aplicadas en Kokkola de Finlandia, mediante un financiamiento del gobierno finlandés.
El encuentro académico-científico que se celebrará desde el 11 y hasta el 18 de diciembre en la sede Yrigoyen 879 de Ushuaia propondrá instancias de discusión para el abordaje de problemáticas relacionadas con el desarrollo sustentable y para que los participantes intercambien experiencias y trabajos realizados en la materia.
Esta edición es organizada por un equipo de estudiantes y docentes investigadores del Instituto de Ciencias Polares, Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (ICPA-UNTDF) a instancias de la vinculación lograda tras el intercambio celebrado en el país nórdico, en mayo y junio pasado, donde exploraron posibilidades de desarrollo de proyectos en común.
En esta oportunidad la reunión convocará a docentes, investigadores y estudiantes que integran una comitiva de Finlandia y Argentina, profesionales, especialistas, referentes del ámbito público y privado y representantes de organizaciones e instituciones de la ciudad y región. Durante esta reunión se abordan diferentes ejes temáticos, tales como: medio ambiente y sociedad; economía circular, cambios sociales, política y circularidad; y cambios tecnológicos.
